2 Guest Speakers this Friday at UOIT

UOIT will be hosting two very interesting guest speakers this Friday!

The first is Sydneyeye Matrix. Sidneyeve is a professional speaker and published author. She is a regular digital trends analyst for national media outlets, including CBC News and CBC Radio, CTVGlobeMedia, The Canadian Press, Sun Media, CanWest Global, and many regional newspapers and radio broadcasts. Her educational technology initiatives and research have been featured in University Affairs Magazine, Macleans Magazine, Yahoo!, MSN.ca, Canada.com, The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and elsewhere.

Snow storm hits GTA, DC-UOIT “unaffected”

So after all the hype on the news last night about how we were about to be hit by “the worst snow storm in 10 years” as I heard it put, it seems the bite didn’t quite match the media bark. How to get your MyCampus e-mail on your third-party e-mail client

If you’re like me, you hate having to sign into MyCampus to check your school e-mails. Luckily, I’ve figured out a way around this. If you use an alternative e-mail as your primary account, there is a way to set up your account to receive e-mails to your main account as well. This guide is set up for those using Windows Live Mail, however the instructions can be modified to work with whichever e-mail program you use. Continue reading
